Huge single crystal - 5 cm or so - of Chalcocite from Telfer, Western Australia. Collectors Corner specimen. A number of these showed up at the Tucson shows in 2001 but were allegedly stolen and the mine prosecuted, much to the dismay of specimen owners. No clue where it is now, but according to ABC News in Australia, Joseph Docherty, accused of stealing the specimens, pleaded not guilty in early 2004. |
